What is required to book your services for our date?

Once the deposit is received and the contract is signed, the day yours! The best part is that if you are torn between items you need or the amount of time for photos for your day, no worries. You have until 30 days before your date to finalize your choices, and you can trade up or down with no problem at all.

When is the final balance due?

The deposit is due first to secure the date and is $1,000 for most packages. The final payment is due 30 days before the wedding date.

Are you available for travel?

I LOVE to travel! In addition to local packages in Northeast Florida and the surrounding areas, I have packages built for travel that make budgeting very easy. Some of my more frequented locations are Orlando Florida, Tampa Florida, Miami Florida, The Florida Keys, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Savannah Georgia, Charlotte North Carolina, Nashville TN, Washington DC, New Orleans, Atlanta Georgia and surrounding areas New York City, Los Angeles California, Miami, The Florida Panhandle, and beyond.

In the list of popular packages you sent, I don’t see one that exactly fits our needs. Are changes allowed or can we create a custom package?

Custom packages are more often the norm, and not the exception. We work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want and do not waste money on items you do not need. Just call in and schedule either an in person visit to the studio or a phone consultation and you will quickly see how much we can do to customize the photography for your day to be perfect for you!
When will our images be available to view?
Most wedding images are available within a month after your wedding date. There are some very busy seasons when it may take 6 weeks, but that is rare. Six weeks is the maximum and 30 days is almost always the rule.

How many images will we have from our wedding day?

We normally shoot at least 60 images per hour. Some weddings have so many details and extras that it can go way over, but 60 images per hour is the minimum you can expect to see. These will all be amazing images also, so keep that in mind. Sharp, amazingly vibrant moments captured in images that you will treasure forever. The quality is really where all the attention goes. How many amazing images you get is just one of the wonderful surprises that our clients go on and on about and why they keep referring us to their friends and family for so many years!

When we order prints or albums from you how are they different from the digital files we’ve received on the disk that we could print out ourselves? Do they get additional attention?

The images in your online gallery are the same as the digital files you receive on your high res disk. They have been edited for color and exposure to be beautiful and will print as such, provided you choose a lab that is dedicated to quality and printing them correctly. As a photographer with an extensive background in printing and retouching, of course my standards for the images you get directly from me will be the highest quality, bar none. I can even take things a step further, on request, and thin arms or fix chins that need a little lift. Basically anything that can be done, if you request it, will be done. I can even fix closed eyes if one person ruins your favorite group shot! All this is done for the images placed into your album and prints you order from me at no additional charge. So, though the standard images on your disk and online are wonderful, the possibilities are ENDLESS and I can blow your mind on how natural and perfect I can make touch ups look. This is one thing that sets me apart from many, real experience, and many years of it. We don’t have to outsource these things. We can handle it all in house, and it doesn’t have to cost you anything extra.

What if our package does not include a formal album now, can we come back and order one later?

Lots of my past wedding couples do this! It takes a while to recover from the expense and let the dust settle a bit after a wedding. I have even had a couple come back 5 years later, after finally paying down their student loans from medical school. I will still be honored to make an amazing album for you and would never turn you away. There is often a slight cost increase from the album companies each year, so including one in your package usually will save you money, but either way we can accommodate most needs and budgets. Albums requested long after the wedding date may have to pause and be worked in as best we can, so we continue to give great service to our current clients, but we will take care of all past and present clients. Of that you can be sure.

Do you shoot with a second photographer?

All weddings include myself and an assistant who is also a second shooter. Over 80% of all the images from your wedding day will be done by me. My assistant is there help me work my magic and assist me in any way I need, and often that requires them to cover another area of the church, or reception room. This helps a lot when I cannot be in more than one place at a time. At times, for larger weddings with multiple locations we may also add a third photographer and this option is always available and can be discussed based on your needs and the size of your wedding.

Do I need to provide a list of photographs I would like for my wedding day?

The only shot lists I need are a list of the specific family members for formal portraits and their names. This gives the day a much better flow, and this list is so specific in its formation that we actually will make it together a month before the wedding. No need to make it in advance, because my system is so efficient that making it together will help both of us be on the same page. Limiting the shots list to just the specifics of family will allow me to be more creative with the wedding party, the details, and your portraits overall. No worries, my questionnaire is so thorough, I will know every little family heirloom and hidden detail with your grandmother’s handkerchief, nothing will be forgotten. Many often tell me they felt as though they got a wedding planner and photographer rolled up in one with me. I even make a timeline for the day with all the photography times and details which help everyone, including all the other vendors and the venue coordinator stay on time and worry free. All you have to do is enjoy your day!

What camera equipment do you shoot with?

I use all Nikon professional equipment. My preferred camera is Nikon D3s, and my lenses used are pro series 70-200, 28-70, 18-35, 16mm fisheye, and 85 macro. My lighting is also Nikon pro series. The best thing about my gear as compared to many others shooting weddings on non-pro gear is that my cameras shoot dual memory cards. That means, for any of you that have had a memory card in a camera go bad or lose information, that your images are never recorded onto only one card. Everything is backed up, including your images in the studio. We use a triple backup system, so you never have to worry about anything. We have it covered.

For a newborn session, do I bring the baby to you and at what age is best?

Well, I know what it is like to be a mom, three times over. For that reason alone, I love to come to you whenever possible. It all depends on how I can work it into the schedule since some little ones come early, and some come late. The best thing to do is contact me and let me know when you are due, and we can place you in a que. From there, just keep in touch and it is especially helpful to contact me as soon as your new addition arrives, even while you are still at the hospital and have an idea of when you are going home. Newborn sessions are offered on a limited availability basis and I will do everything I can to come to you and photograph your new little bundle of joy within the first week of arrival.

For a family session, what locations or ideas do you have to take photos?

Well, just look at my gallery full of families, kids, and even pets. I have so many places that I love to photograph and I love suggestions for new places all the time. Surprise me, or let me surprise you. The sky is the limit. Just contact me and we can discuss something no one has ever seen before or even how to make the comforts of your own home the perfect environment for your family portraits. It is all up to you.
